Hi Sriniviz,What you can use is an open source ETL tool to migrate Oracle database to Teradata. Open source tools, like Talend, are free to download.Talend Open Studio is an open source ETL tool for data integration and migration experts. It's easy to learn for a non-technical user. What distinguishes Talend, when it comes to business users, is the tMap component. It allows the user to get a graphical and functional view of integration processes. Hi,

We are migrating from oracle to teradata. Can anyone please guide about how we can proceed for migration. Our current production environment details are as below,

ETLTool - Informatica 8.6
DAC 10.1.3.4.1
Database - Oracle 10g R2
DB schema version- 7.9.6.2
We have 2 GB of Informatica repository with 2500 mappings and database of 4.5 TB

So if with this environment if v are moving to Teradata where we need to do changes and where we don't need as such?
What changes we need to ensure for above scenario considering above tools and oracle DB version.

Is any modifications required in mapping or repository bcoz we r using Oracle_BI_DW repostry which is actually for oracle DB?
We found in informatica doc for teradata DB they recommend Oracle_BI_DW_Teradata repository provided by OBIA. so if we will use this repo. do we need to do all the customization again on this repo. which we did on our current repo.? or else can we export all those customized mappings to new base repo.?

What is the process for data migration?

Is there any free source tool available which we can use for migration? i have read about Automated Application Migration tool (AAMT) but it's teradata owned. is it available as free source ?

Please guide.
Thanks in advance.
