Position Description: We requesting resumes for a contract position as a Teradata data warehouse developer to design and potentially lead development in a Mainframe-Teradata environment. The position would be based in Atlanta. The projected start date for this position would be February 1, 2006. The length of service contract is six months with potential for renewal. There is a potential of conversion to an NS Employee. The candidate’s primary responsibility will be the design, coding, testing, and implementation of data warehouse based business solutions to multiple departments. The candidate will be expected to analyze complicated systems, document to NS application standards, and assure high levels of stability, reliability, and availability of the production application environment, consistent with established change control policies and prescribed procedures. Candidate is expected to provide off-hour support for newly implemented applications and to work overtime when need arises.



Education: 4-yr College Degree preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.



Experience required:

10+ years in a MVS mainframe batch development environment
5+ years in a Teradata development environment
Requirements and problem definition involving the NS internal customers
Skills Required:

COBOL, SQL, Teradata Utilities, MVS, Queryman, JCL, TSO/ISPF
Extensive design experience
Involvement in all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle
Ability to document and execute unit and system testing
Skills Preferred:

Relational Database Modeling and Design
IBM MQ Series
Unix shell scripting
UDB background
Brio background
Working knowledge of Legacy systems integration
