BTEQ stands for Basic Teradata Query. It comes from Teradata.

its not graphical interface, it is just a way to connect Teradata either Batch or interactive modes. So, if your company purchased it, you have it, you just find out syntax for it to use it.

BTEQ is available on every Teradata system.BTEQ can be used to submit SQL in either a batch or interactive environment. It is equivalant to SQL plus tool that comes with Oracle installation. You should have the Bteq already installed since you have the Teradata database.
